Cerebral Vortex aka Shamon Cassette is a Republic of Texas native, gypsy, pirate, party starter and citizen of the world! He embarked upon his musical journey early while enrolled as a hip-hop thirsty student at a Japanese High School in the Kanagawa prefecture of Japan, then moving on to Germany but eventually ending up back in the U.S. again a couple of years back.

Countless collaborations and performances with the greatest acts of various genres under his belt, Cerebral Vortex branched out and began working almost exclusively with producers based out of Europe during the last years, including Robot Koch, Rustie, Powell and others, taking claim for crooning his very European style of electronic music. As we approach the close of 2009 Cerebral Vortex continues to travel the globe with his crews Vertual Vertigo and 215:TFK as well as individually touring, recording and releasing music under multiple record labels such as Robots Don`t Sleep, Stuff Records, Melting Pot Music or Jakarta. Together with Robot Koch he has released the infamous Vortex Cookies EP on UpMyAlley in late 2008 which has been championed by Gaslampkiller, Hudson Mohawke and others.

His achievements as of lately range from captivating crowds at festivals such as "Pop Montreal" and "SXSW" to performing live at events for Vice, Puma, Blender, Redbull, Scion and Juxtapose magazine to name a few. More to come, stay tuned...
